Holy Spirit,

Open my eyes.

Not to the grand gestures or the visible needs — but to the tiny gaps. The ones hiding in plain sight. The elderly neighbor I have passed a hundred times. The Sunday School teacher who shows up every week and never once hears thank you. Even my pet who just needs a walk and a little of my time.

I cannot see these small gaps on my own.

My eyes are too busy. My days are too full. My attention moves too fast past the quiet ache of the people around me.

So I am asking You to slow me down.

Give me Your eyes, Holy Spirit.

Give me Your compassion — the kind that doesn’t push forward, but is moved forward. That acts before it thinks, reaches before it calculates, gives before it counts the cost.

Let me be the one who picks up the phone. Who knocks on the door. Who writes the note. Who says — I see you. I am here. You are not invisible to me.

Teach me to fill the tiny gaps — a phone number slipped under a door, a hand on a shoulder, a moment of real eye contact in a world of distracted ones.

Make me a better steward of what You have placed in my care, Lord. Teach me to water the people and living things around me — not just when it’s convenient, but consistently and faithfully, the way You tend to us.

Because sometimes the smallest gesture is the one that keeps someone from giving up.

Let me not miss those moments, Lord.

Not one.

Lord,

You are the Lord of the Sabbath.

And because of You, I am not bound to a single day — but I come to You today asking for something I have been slow to receive:

Permission to stop.

Teach me to rest, Lord. Not just physically — but deeply. The kind of rest that refills what the week has emptied. That restores what busyness has slowly taken. That returns me to Your presence long enough to remember who I am when I am not performing, producing, or proving anything to anyone.

Because somewhere along the way I forgot.

I forgot that You called me good before You gave me anything to do.

Before the assignments. Before the responsibilities. Before the calling.

You looked at what You made — and You said it was good.

I am not a human doing.

I am a human being.

And my value doesn’t come from my output. It comes from whose image I carry. The great I AM made me in His image — and that is enough. That has always been enough.

So forgive me, Lord, for the times I have treated rest as laziness. For the times I pushed through when You were calling me to pause. For the times I ran on empty and wondered why I had nothing left to give.

A dry well cannot quench anyone’s thirst.

Give me eyes to see the opportunities for rest You have already placed in my week. The quiet morning. The unhurried evening. The moment that isn’t scheduled and doesn’t need to be.

Help me to press pause — not in guilt, but in trust.

Trust that the world will not fall apart when I stop.

Trust that You are holding what I lay down.

Trust that a rested version of me is far more useful to Your kingdom than an exhausted one running on fumes.

Because when I am filled — truly filled — others can drink from what overflows.

That is the miracle of the Sabbath, Lord.

It was never just for me.

In Jesus’ name — the One who said “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Father,

You are the God of healing. Physical, emotional and spiritual.

And I come before You right now on behalf of the person reading this.

The one who used to feel close to You — and doesn’t anymore.

The one who has sat in church lately and felt nothing. Who has opened their Bible and found the words dry. Who has prayed and felt like the ceiling was made of concrete.

You see them. And You have not moved.

You are El Roi. The God Who Sees. You saw Hagar all alone in the desert when everyone else had forgotten her. You see this person now — in whatever wilderness they are wandering — and You have not looked away.

Father, there are wounds in the spirit that go deeper than the mind and the body can reach. Places where faith was broken by a person who should have protected it. Where the church hurt instead of healed. Where unanswered prayer became silent doubt. Where life happened in ways that made them feel like You are distant, disinterested, or simply not there.

Heal what religion damaged. Restore what disappointment took. Rebuild what silence destroyed.

In Jesus’ name — speak into the quiet places where they stopped expecting to hear anything.

Where they have walked away — draw them back gently.
Where they have stayed but grown cold — breathe on the embers.
Where they are angry at You — let them know You can hold that. You are big enough for their anger and patient enough for their doubt.

And Jesus — You know what this feels like.

You cried out from the cross — “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?”

You entered the silence so that no one reading this would ever be truly alone in theirs.

Meet them there. Right now. In the silence they have been living in.

Your Word says in Psalm 51:10 — “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

That is the cry of this prayer today.

Not just a healed mind. Not just a healed body. A healed spirit.

Renewed. Restored. Made right again.

Let the fire come back. Let the love return. Let the hunger for Your Word wake up in them again — even just a flicker, even just enough to keep reading, keep praying, keep coming back.

They may not even have the faith to believe this prayer will work.

That’s okay.

You don’t need their faith to be perfect before You move.

Jesus moved toward lepers before they asked.
He healed before He was thanked.
He called Lazarus out of the tomb before anyone believed He could.

He can move here too.

You just need them to be here.

And they are here. Reading these words.

Come meet them, Lord Jesus.

In Your name — the name above every name, the name that means God saves, the name that is still the answer to every prayer ever prayed.

In the name of Jesus.

Father,

I come before You with one person on my heart. The one reading this right now. The one who may have smiled today and meant none of it. The one holding it together on the outside while something on the inside is coming apart.

You see them. Fully. Completely. Without judgment.

El Shaddai. God Almighty. The One who spoke galaxies into existence — and still counts every hair on their head. If You can hold the universe together, You can hold this mind together.

So I am asking You to do exactly that.

Father, You know what they are carrying. The thoughts that spiral at 2am. The dread that shows up before the day even begins. The sadness they cannot name and cannot shake. The version of themselves they used to be — before the anxiety, before the loss, before whatever it was that broke something open inside them.

You know it all. And You have not looked away.

Right now, in the name of Jesus, I speak peace into every corner of their mind.

Not just the thoughts on the surface. Not just the worries they talk about.

But the ones in the back. The ones they have learned not to think about. The ones they pushed down so deep they almost forgot they were there — almost.

I speak peace into those places right now.

Into the memory of the person who judged them when they needed grace. Into the room where someone said something they were never supposed to say. Into the moment that planted a root — a root of shame, of rejection, of “I am not enough” — that has been quietly growing ever since.

Father, You were in that room. You saw what happened. You saw what it did to them. And You have never stopped being present in that moment — even now, even as they read this.

Show Yourself in those memories. Let the light of Your presence enter the places where darkness was allowed to stay. Uproot what was planted by pain. Replace it with what You actually say about them.

Heal them not just from the outside in — but from the root up.

Silence the voice of the accuser. Break every thought pattern built on fear. Uproot every lie that has taken root and called itself the truth.

Where shame has made its home — evict it. Where grief has stayed too long — bring Your comfort. Where hopelessness has settled in like it owns the place — remind them who actually does.

You do.

Your Word says in Isaiah 26:3 — “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”

Perfect peace. Not partial. Not occasional. Perfect.

I declare that peace over them right now in Jesus’ Name.

Renew their mind. Restore their joy. Rebuild their sense of self — not the one the world gave them, but the one You wrote before they were born. In an eternity past.

Let them wake up tomorrow and feel that something has shifted. That they are not alone. That You are near.

Because You are.

In the name that is above every broken thought, every dark season, every diagnosis, every doubt.

In the name of Jesus.

Father,

You are the God who heals. And I am coming to You right now on behalf of the person reading this. Because healing is not just something You do — it is who You are.

Jehovah Rapha. The Lord Who Heals. Not who used to heal. Not sometimes. Who heals — present tense, active tense, right now tense.

And where Your healing flows — sickness has to leave. Disease has to go.

So today I stand on Your Word.

Father, You see this person right now. You see their body. You know every pain, every symptom, every diagnosis, every report that came back with bad news. Nothing is hidden from You.

I ask that Your healing power flow through them right now — in Jesus’ mighty name.

Remove every sickness. Every inflammation. Every disease. Every discomfort that does not belong.

Move through every organ. Every cell. Every system. Every part of the body You fearfully and wonderfully made.

Restore what is damaged. Strengthen what is weak. Rebuild what has broken down.

Where doctors have said there is no cure — You are still God. Where the report says chronic — You are not limited by any diagnosis. Where they have prayed this prayer before and are still waiting — remind them that Your silence is not Your absence. And that Your timing is perfect even when it is painful.

Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17 — “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord.”

So I speak restoration over them right now.

Let weariness leave. Let strength return. Let life — real life, full life, abundant life — flow through every part of them.

And where healing comes gradually — give them faith for the process. Where healing comes suddenly — let You receive every ounce of the glory.

I declare that their body is being renewed and made whole by the power of the living God.

In the powerful name of Jesus — the Name above every name, the Name that means God saves.

Father,

You are the God of every good gift. And I simply want to say thank you.

Because Gratitude ushers the power of heaven into my life.

It opens my eyes. And when my eyes open, I see Your creation. And when I see Your creation — I can clearly see You. The Creator. Right there. In the middle of everything I overlooked.

And where gratitude lives — fear has to leave. Anxiety has to go. They cannot coexist in the same heart at the same time. I cannot be truly grateful and truly afraid simultaneously.

So today I choose gratitude.

Today I come to You not with a list of needs — but with open hands. Full hands. Hands that have received more than they deserved and more than they noticed.

Forgive me for the times I forgot.

For the mornings I woke up breathing and didn’t say thank You. For the meals I ate without pausing. For the people You placed in my life that I treated like furniture — always there, rarely appreciated.

I see it now, Lord. I see it now.

Thank You for the ordinary. The overlooked. The quiet mercies that never made headlines but kept me standing.

Thank You for what You gave. Thank You for what You didn’t. Thank You for the prayers You answered the way I asked — and the ones You answered better.

Where I have been provided for — I will not call it luck. Where I have been protected — I will not call it coincidence. Where I have been loved — I will not take it for granted. Where I have been carried — I will remember I did not walk alone.

Every good and perfect gift comes from You.

So today I choose gratitude — not as a feeling, but as a decision. Not because everything is perfect, but because You are.

You were good before this season. You will be good after it. You are good right now — in the middle of it.

And that is enough.

Thank You, Father. From the bottom of everything I am.

My Father in Heaven,

I begin by praising You — the One who sees, who guides, who comforts, who loves. You love without condition, You protect what is precious, and You stand for what is right when no one else will. You are the Father every heart was made for, the Father every child has always needed.

Today I lift up the fathers of this world — the ones who carry heavy loads in silence, who get up before dawn and come home long after dark, who hold their children when no one holds them, and who, when they don’t know how to say “I love you” in words, say it through sacrifice instead.

You made fathers to be image bearers of You, called to reflect Your strength and Your tenderness — to protect like You protect, to provide like You provide, to forgive like You forgive, and to love like You love. It is a sacred calling, and a heavy one, and many of them were never shown how to do it. So today I ask You to teach them. Heal the wounds their own fathers left behind, break the cycles that were never meant to continue, and fill them with the love they didn’t always receive — so they can pour out a love their children will remember forever.

And for the children of fathers who failed them — be the Father they never had.

And finally, Lord, I lift up my own father — the one I love so dearly and so tenderly. The one who has tried, who has failed, who has carried more than I will ever know. He is not perfect, Father, but neither am I. He has had his struggles, and still has room to grow. And yet, through him, I have seen You — Your love in his quiet sacrifices, Your patience in his second chances, Your strength in the way he kept going when no one was watching.

So I thank You for him. Bless him today, strengthen him in his weakness, heal him in his wounds, and soften him in his rough places. Let him know, deep in his bones, that he is loved — not for what he’s done, but because he is Yours.

It’s 6:01 AM, and I felt prompted to come talk to you about someone you may be forgetting — someone you may be neglecting.

I know Father’s Day is coming up, but that’s not who I’m talking about. Not dads. Not moms. Not even God, although we neglect Him often too.

I’m talking about someone you know all too well. Someone you love dearly. Someone who is counting on you.

I’m talking about the child inside of you.

The child who lives inside of you. The child from your past. The one who carries a lot of hurt. The one who still remembers the judgments spoken over him or her. The one who still carries heavy images, painful memories, things no child should have had to witness, go through, or carry.

We all live in a broken world, and I’m sure many of us experienced things in our childhood that broke something inside of us.

Maybe it was a mom or dad who drank too much. Maybe it was someone who got angry and threw things. Maybe it was poverty. Maybe it was a bully at school. Maybe it was someone who actually loved you, but said something that made you feel worthless — and somehow, you carried that as part of your identity.

Or maybe it was someone who didn’t say anything at all, but left, moved away, or passed away unexpectedly.

Going to the Root

I was watching a video about a couple who had been doing healing ministry for years. In the beginning, they would pray for people's healing and those people would get better. But sometime later, the same ailments would come back.

So they went to God and asked, “Lord, why is this happening?”

And they felt God saying:

“Go deeper.”

They realized what they had been doing was like seeing a tree with bad fruit, cutting off the bad fruit, and throwing it away. Then they started praying for the habits — trimming the branches. But still, the bad fruit would return.

So they prayed again, and God showed them: go to the root.

Because a bad tree produces bad fruit. So what is going on at the root?

They began asking people what happened in their childhood that they were still carrying — a spirit of fear, the fear of dad leaving again, resentment toward someone they never forgave, sadness that had anchored itself deep inside.

And when they started praying that way — asking God’s healing light and love to flood those places in a person’s past — people began to go back into those memories and invite God into them. And they realized something powerful:

God was always there.

They were never alone.

And as they forgave, as they released, as they let go, that prayer for the inner child began to manifest outwardly. When people forgave those who hurt them in their childhood, it began resulting in healing today — physical healing, mental healing, and freedom from bondages they were experiencing in the present.

So yes, maybe we have been neglecting the child who lives inside.

And that’s why I want us to pray.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, we love You.

We come to You today and bring before You some bad fruit we have noticed on the branches of the tree of our lives. But we don’t want to stop there. We want to go deeper — all the way down to the roots.

Jesus, take our hand and walk with us all the way back there.

Walk with us back to the memory of the person who spoke a judgment against us. Walk with us back to the people who hurt us. Walk with us back to the devastating sadness we may have experienced as children — sadness we may still be carrying today, even subconsciously.

We invite Your light and Your living water to flood those dark places — those places collecting dust because we tucked them away so far inside of us.

We are not afraid to bring them up anymore. We talk about them with You now. We talk to You about everything, Lord.

Jesus, Holy Spirit, help us go in and do some cleanup. Dust the walls. Wipe the windows of our childhood. Clean up the debris. Open up the blinds, and allow Your radiant, bright, powerful light to flood in.

We forgive. We release. We let go of the things that held us captive. We forgive the people who hurt us, knowing that they were also broken. They were also under the influence of this broken world.

And we forgive ourselves.

We made mistakes when we were kids. We forgive ourselves too.

Lord, we bless and pray for those who hurt us. We bring to You all the lies that were told about who we are, all the judgments that were spoken against us, and we ask You to remind that child deep down of his or her true identity.

That child is Your son. That child is Your daughter. That child belongs to You. And that child’s worth comes from You.

Allow this healing to take place in Jesus’ name.

And whatever is in our childhood memories that is not of You, Lord — carry it away. Throw it as far as the east is from the west.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Lord, allow Your light, Your power, and Your love to radiate upward and ripple outward. Wash away everything in its path that is not of You. Strengthen us today so that we may see all the incredible things You will do as a result of this prayer and Your work in us.

May we tell the world who You are — how You saved us, how You delivered us, and how You began healing us, even starting with the child inside.

We love You, my Lord.

There are places in me that are broken.
Deep places. Dark places.
Places I have never spoken out loud.

Judgments others made about me that I carried like a verdict —
unworthy. not enough. too much.
Vows I made in pain that still sit heavy on my chest.
Things I did that hurt people I love.
Things done to me that I haven’t let go of.
Unforgiveness I’ve held — toward others, toward myself.

These things surface often.
They rise uninvited and pull me under.
And today, I bring them to You.

“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” — John 7:38

Flow, Lord.
Flow Your light into the deep places.
Let Your Living Water reach what I have kept hidden —
the pain, the hurt, the confusion, the shame.
Wash it clean. Wash it through.
You want me whole. I’m ready to accept that.

Life begins at the root. Good fruit only grows from good roots.
And my roots — Lord, some of them are bitter.
Planted in old wounds. Fed by old fears. Tangled in old lies.

So I ask You: please dig deep.
Go to the roots. Go to the beginning.
Heal what was planted in the past that still poisons the present.
Pull out what doesn’t belong there. Replant me in Your love.

Today, I choose to forgive the people who hurt me.
I forgive them. I release them.
I bless them and I let them go.

And the people I have hurt —
I forgive myself.
I release the guilt. I release the shame.
Your cross was enough. Your blood was enough.
I receive Your forgiveness and I extend it to myself.

I lay my roots at Your feet.
All of it — the old soil, the bitter ground, the tangled things.
I lay them here and I leave them here.

Because I am not who I used to be.
I am a new creation in Christ.
The old has gone. The new is here.
And I believe it — even now, even as I heal.

Make me whole, Father.
Make me free.
Let Your rivers flow.

Father,

You are the God of peace, of joy, of love, and of faith. You tell me again and again in Your Word — DO NOT FEAR.

Yet there is this fear that has lived in me for years. I don’t know where it came from. But I know it’s there. It weighs heavy on me. And I no longer want to live with it.

Today I rebuke it in the Name of Jesus — the Name above every name. I renounce the spirit of fear. I release it into Your hands.

Father, You gave me power. You gave me love. You gave me a sound mind. So I refuse to carry what You never placed on me.

Free me, Lord.

Where fear has silenced me — give me a voice. Where fear has closed me — open me wide. Where fear has shrunk me — cause me to rise. Where fear has stolen my praise — put a shout back in my mouth.

Teach me to love fearlessly. To give fearlessly. To walk fearlessly. To praise fearlessly.

I will walk by FAITH and NOT by fear.

Because You are bigger than this. You split seas. You rolled stones away. You cast out every darkness that dared to stay. You…

Today I come to You with everything that is stuck. Everything that hasn’t moved. Everything I’ve prayed about so long I almost stopped believing it could change.

You see it all.

Break through, Lord.
